Kurt H. Gregory, M.S., L.M.F.T.
Kurt is the Founder and Director of The Aboite Counseling
and Therapy Group.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree from Purdue University (1989,
Psychology) and a Master's Degree from Indiana University
(1992, Marriage and Family Therapy).
Kurt is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, as well as
a previously Registered Domestic Relations Mediator. He has
worked in psychiatric hospitals, mental health centers, rehabilitation centers and, for the last fifteen years, in private practice.
He is a Clinical Fellow of the American Association of Marriage and
Family Therapists and the Indiana Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
In 2002, Kurt was honored with the Indiana-Purdue University at Fort
Wayne Education Department's Outstanding Alumni Award for his
work as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
In 2005, he was appointed Chair of the Indiana Association of Marriage and Family Therapists' Legislative Committee and also serves as the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists' Legislative Liaison for Indiana. Additionally, Kurt served as the northeastern regional board member for IAMFT from 2007-2011. In 2011 Kurt began his term as President-Elect of IAMFT and served in this capacity to 2013, when he began the two year term of President.
Kurt has served as a member of the Whitley County Community Corrections board since 1998, and also served on the board of the Northeastern Indiana Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) from 2005 to 2009. His clinical interests include all areas of Individual, Marriage, and Family Therapy, but specifically divorce issues, mediation, depression, anxiety, and infidelity. Kurt routinely works with family and juvenile courts throughout the state on a wide variety of issues.
